Here she is!!
Our little princess was born on 1/21/2011 @ 6:41 pm! She weighed 7 lbs, 14 oz, and was 21 in long. My water first broke at 7 am, we were in the labor/delivery room at the hospital by 9 am, we played the waiting game for a bit... and after 45 minutes of pushing, (and some forceps action) she was here! She was whisked away because her heart rate was low, causing her oxygen saturation to be low, however she recovered quickly. She has been doing well ever since and I'm feeling good but sore. No turning back now...
Well I'm not gonna lie... the last couple of days have been awful! I've never been more uncomfortable in my entire life. Back hurts, feet and ankles swollen, can't sit, can't stand, can't walk, can't sleep. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer though because I've been scheduled to be induced next Thursday, January 27th! Unless of course the full moon on the 19th brings her early... Oh and of course, at the end of the pregnancy, she finally decided to cooperate during a sonogram so we can finally get a decent picture of her! Here are some of the best ones...

OMG... 9 months pregnant!
It's official, I'm 9 months pregnant! I can't believe how quickly these past 9 months have gone by... I have multiple contractions daily and feel like I could go at any time. Which is why my bag is all packed and waiting by the door! If I don't go into labor naturally, the doctor wants to induce me the week of January 24th which is about 2 weeks away!!! I am at the doctor's office twice a week now, where they adjust my blood sugar numbers, do the NST monitoring, and the Biophysical profile and measurements through an ultrasound. At the last ultrasound, we got to see that she already has hair, weighs 6 lbs. 9 oz., and is practicing her breathing!! We can't wait to meet her! Especially because at every sonogram, she covers her face with her hands or the umbilical cord so we can't see her. She better not do that when she comes out or her daddy, the photographer, won't be too happy! :)

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a name!
We asked big sister Alexis if she would like the honor of naming her little sister. Steve and I had chosen two names that we both loved equally and gave her the choice between the two names. When we spoke with her on Christmas, she told us that she definitely wanted to name her and told us her choice! Actually, in true Alexis form, she sent us a picture of a post it note where she had written down the name :) She told us that the main reason she chose it was because it was a character in a video game that protected and loved the other characters! We could not have a received a better Christmas gift!
